Q: How much would insurance be for a Nissan 350z?
I’m 17 and about to turn 18. My driving record is clean, no speeding tickets, no crashes or anything. I want to get a used Nissan 350z but i am just wondering how much would insurance be for it? DONT TELL ME TO ASK MY INSURANCE COMPANY OR GET A QUOTE ONLINE! I just want to know how much it would be. thanks

Your age and inexperience are going to be against you getting a good price, doesn’t matter how good you think you are, to an insurance company you are inexperienced and they are the ones who set the prices

A: I would get the mazda rx-8. I loved the 350z before but i saw how much the rx-8 can perform. If you want performance, i would say the rx-8. The nissan is a really good price for its power but the performance does not have the potential of an rx-8. Nissan was almost bankurupt back in the days so finnally they started adding much more money to the quality of their cars. My cousin is a mechanical engineer and says they are not reliable. The Mazda would be the all around better choice. Because of the rx-8’s rotary engine, it lasts much longer than the nissan 350z’s cause there are less moving parts in the engine. Its your choice, but i would choose the rx-8.

I have a 2005 Nissan 350z. What happens to the Nissan warranty if I get after market parts and I get them professionally installed? I would like a in depth answer please.

A: Most aftermarket parts which stress the remaining factory parts will void a part of the factory warranty. Some common examples are suspension lowering kits that may stress the CV joints on a fwd car. Heavy, larger wheels and tires which wear the suspension and cause the brakes to work harder. Most engine mods, except for possibly the intake system and/or a free-flow exhaust system. Nissan does an excellent job of tuning their cars. Check some of the aftermarket performance tests and you’ll find that unless you are racing the vehicle (which voids the warranty) the gains are not really usable on the street. Your money may be better spent on paying off the car! Good luck!

A: OMG getting tickets is the worst thing in a 350z i have a black z and you would think that black would be a good color to have in a sports car, well its not. of course i have alot of stuff done, turbo kit dual exhust and some other stuff but i mean it sucks. everything else is cool. My husband and i have had it since 2004, we got it brand new. They are great cars. alot of fun to drive as well. good luck. i am loooking at a 2006 nissan 350z converible, silver on black and its has every option ex. navigation. the price is 27,000, its on ebay, what would the price of this car be by nov-dec 2008.

A: Maybe 2-3 grand cheaper.

If you are looking to buy a Z wait until the new body style comes out. The current type will depreciate at least 10-15% more because people want new new new.

How have the nissan 350z’s changed since 2003????? they all look the same to me! i’m thinkin about buying one and not sure what year to get!

A: All Z’s from 03 to 05 are cosmetically the same. there are different models that the cars can come in. 03-04 had 290hp 05 and up have 300hp because of added exhaust VVT, in 06 the front end got a slightly new look as with the rear tail lights, also the 06 and up models are heavy-er by about 150 lbs. The best model that I would get is a 05 track model.

A: It all depends on what Nissan does with the redesign of the 350Z. If people love the new bodystyle of the 350Z then the value will not hold up as well.

Ok for instance the new STI grill came out in 2006 and people hated it and the 2005 STI’s held tremendous value over the 06. I’m guessing you will be able to pick one up for around $20,000 in 3 years.

-I want to turbo a 350z and I am looking at different apps. and I found that HKS has a 350z twin turbo kit (is this better than one turbo) and I saw that Stillen has a 350z supercharger kit.

-Which is better and does the supercharger kit scream like other superchagers?

A: turbos will typically give you better gains, and with the small displacement of the 350z, you don’t want anything else drawing torque from the crank (like a supercharger)

A: Just a 2 seater. The G35 coupe has a back seat. and its the same car except the G has a longer frame to fit in the back seat plus more lux.

So i am wanting to buy this 2004 350z it has 24,000 miles and is selling for $17,000. What do you all think of the 04s and what about mods for it turbo or supper charge?

A: The only thing you need to be careful of is tire feathering issues. I had an 03 and had to get new tires every 10,000 miles until the issue was fixed. I would get the VIN and check with a dealer to make sure that vehicle won’t have the issue. I think it was only easrly 04’s.

I would recommend going with a turbo over a supercharger. Much more you can do with it. We have an import shop by us that recommends the APS setup…

A: You can already find some below $15k, so if you wait another 2 years they should get closer to $10-$12k.

A: I would say the fastest year for the Z car was the 1996 300ZX turbo. It had 300 hp and 307 tq at a little less weight than the current 350Z at 306 hp and 268 tq. And turbo is definitely not illegal.
