I know there is a filter in the tank on the bottom of the acender unit. I just Purchased a filter that goes on the fuel line but cant find the fitting or filter on the line.
A: Well if it is a gas engine the fuel filter is not serviced as it is part of the fuel module inside the tank. If it’s a diesel it is on the right side under the hood by the battery.

I have replaced all kinds of stuff, there isnt a vacuum leak, there isnt, the o2 sensor is new, the air idle valve is new, there is no way to adjust the throttle, the injectors are brand new, it seems to be sucking entirely too much air.
This question was posted by my brother and he is not wanting smart a$$ responses. This is the only vehicle that he has to drive at the moment. He has replaced most of the electrical components and nothing is working so far. If u leave a response, please do not do this for the points. A: At startup, the engine speed is normaly high for a couple minutes. However, if the engine speed remains high AFTER it has warmed up some, it may be an engine speed sensor or faulty ignition module, throttle position sensor, sticky throttle linkage, cruise control cable…….

Q: Anyone know anything about a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado fuel injector problem?
My truck sometimes has hard starts, where it will crank but not turn over unless I push the gas pedal. I have dealt with the other fuel sending unit issue by replacing the fuel pump and that didn’t solve the hard start problem. I have recently done a basic tune up, checked the throttle body, have also tried adding fuel injector cleaner to tank of gas. No help. Is there a better way to clean them or am I doomed to replace them? Could it also be a different, less expensive, problem?
A: When the engine is trying to start,the computer is reading the throttle position from the variable resistor on the throttle body and the engine temperature from the sensor on the intake.If one of those is out of range,the computer thinks the engine is warmer than it is and the injectors won’t open long enough to give it enough gas.

A: You need a screwdriver with a ginormous tip! I think most vehicles have them attached this way. I found a box with different tip sizes and used one of them in my screwdriver. I can replace the tips in mine.

A: There is a hard and soft cover option from the factory.These are ordered by the dealer or ordered by the person who has placed a order for a new truck.Ive installed over 200 soft and hard top bed covers from the factory that arrive at the dealership before the truck arrives.The dealer installs the tops because of possible damage done during transport.Any one that posted this is not a factory option is eather stupid or knows nothing about chevrolet dealer operations.Best of luck.

Q: How do you replace the door handles and tailgate handle on a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, Ext Cab?
It comes standard with black but i would like to put chrome ones on the truck, and if possible an explanation on how to change a tailgate handle.

A: For the door handles take off the inside door panel and look up where the handle is at and you should see 3 rivets grind them off disconect the armature inside and it will drop off to put the new ones on just put them on the out side hook back up the armature and either nut and bolt them down or rivet them in place. As for the tail gate look on the gate inside the bed and yoy should see 3 or 4 screw heads if not look under handle remove them slide out the latch and disconnect the armature and replace. Good luck
Q: Visual difference between the 2010 Chevrolet Silverado HD and regular?
I’m trying to find out if the only difference is the hood, grill, and front bumper. I want to get a winch bumper for my truck but can only find them for HD’s. I can make the HD work so long as it doesn’t require replacing the hole front clip.
A: The frames are very different. The bumpers bolt directly to the frame, so if the winch bumper is for an HD model, it will not fit the 1500.
You can still mount a winch to a 2010 Silverado 1500. If you cannot find a winch bumper, you can use a front mounted hitch and a winch hitch plate to mount the assembly to your 1500. Here are some front mount hitches available for a 2010 Silverado 1500.

A: the smaller one (ac) has to be done from the bottom, the other from top take off the air intake hose and take tension off tensioner assmebly.

Do not tap into the fuse block. I think your going to add accessories. Do 1 of 2 things.
1. Run accessory wire directly from the battery, but remember to fuse the line in accordance to the accessory unit draw.
2. Use the Power Point circuit, next to the cigarette lighter. Remember to fuse the line in accordance to your accessory unit draw.
The reason for this so you do not interfere with the vehicle’s
engine computer (CPU) or the vehicles (PCM) Power Control
Management) Systems. Interfering with either of these circuits
will cause problems with vehicle performance, such as emission controls, and driveabilitly.

A: it really all depends on how the vehicle was maintained if they took care of the truck it can go for a while i have seen some with well over 400k, but those were highway vehicle, but i have also seen some with well over 200k.
